Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Loss Prevention Clerk to join our team at Costco Wholesale. As a Loss Prevention Clerk, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure shopping environment for our members.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the warehouse and perimeter to identify and mitigate potential safety and security risks.
- Stay up-to-date on Costco procedures and applicable laws related to loss prevention, attending meetings and seminars as necessary.
- Investigate and report internal and external theft threats, collaborating with the Warehouse Manager and other security personnel as needed.
- Interview and detain shoplifters when warranted, preparing reports for internal use and potential prosecution.
- Maintain evidence and reports files, testifying in court as necessary.
- Communicate with other area Costco Loss Prevention Clerks and security personnel to share information on current and local theft threats.
- Provide exceptional customer service to members, employees, and vendors, answering phones and assisting callers as needed.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with front-end duties as necessary, supporting other departments in the warehouse as needed.
