Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team at IPAR.

About the Role

This is a diverse and autonomous role that offers the flexibility to manage your own day while being supported by a strong and close-knit team of healthcare professionals. You will be working with clients who have a range of conditions, both physical and psychological, to help them achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Case management, including caseloads that are manageable and support from Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks;
  • Applying your clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes;
  • Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs;
  • Collaborating with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals;
  • Assisting those with an injury or health condition to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes;
  • Completing various assessments using your clinical skills, including initial, workplace, and vocational assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment, and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • A qualification in Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, or Social Work;
  • Professional Registration AHPRA, Full Membership with ASORC, or Full Membership with AASW;
  • Strong communication skills to build and develop relationships;
  • Excellent time management skills - able to work autonomously as well as within a team environment;
  • A desire to problem-solve with the confidence to be innovative, use initiative, and achieve results;
  • A passion for injury prevention, return to work, and associated health benefits;
  • A current driver's licence and access to your own vehicle.
Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per annumBenefits
