International Trade Specialist

The role of a Customs Clearance Specialist involves overseeing the smooth and compliant movement of international shipments through customs and regulatory processes.
Key Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end customs clearance processes for import and export shipments, ensuring adherence to local and international regulations
- Review customs documentation, classify goods according to customs regulations, and determine duty rates and tax liabilities
- Resolve customs-related issues and provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and proactively resolving any clearance issues
- Collaborate closely with government agencies, regulatory bodies and internal teams for efficient and timely clearance
- Secondary education or equivalent qualification
- At least three (3) years of work experience in Customs clearance
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, procedures and trade compliance
- Proficient in customs clearance software and online customs portals
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office & PC applications
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Proven expertise in planning, organizing, accuracy and attention to detail
