The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel to join our greenfield Legal and Compliance Team in Sydney and Auckland. As a member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our transformational strategy, navigating and influencing a wide range of legal issues, and providing creative and pragmatic support to ensure the success of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create & Build:
    • Develop and enhance legal and compliance frameworks, processes, and resources in collaboration with relevant functions.
    • Implement a legal engagement strategy that establishes the value of the Legal and Compliance Team within Frucor Suntory.
  • Perform:
    • Marketing & Innovation: Review consumer and customer marketing activities, product regulations, and sponsorship arrangements.
    • Intellectual Property: Collaborate with global IP specialists on relevant initiatives for the Oceania market.
    • Governance & Compliance: Advise on competition law, employment, privacy, and health and safety, while providing training to upskill the business.
    • Contracts: Manage commercial matters, including revising templates, drafting, negotiating, and supporting a variety of agreements.
    • Commercial: Partner with project teams to identify and mitigate legal and compliance risks.
    • Additional Support: Provide legal assistance to other business functions as required.
  • Transform:
    • Act as a trusted advisor and creative problem solver in support of Frucor Suntory's growth, including the launch of alcoholic beverages and our first Australian facility.
