Electrical Engineering Leadership Role

This high-impact position involves applying technical expertise to deliver projects, drive innovation, and mentor engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading the design, configuration, testing, and commissioning of SCADA systems.
  • Providing expert engineering advice on regulatory compliance, system integration, and emerging technologies.
  • Acting as a technical lead on major bids and proposals, supporting business development and client engagement.
  • Managing SCADA-related systems and documentation, including software versions, virtual machines, testing equipment, and client-specific standards.
  • Contributing to financial planning and project management through estimates, budgets, and reporting.
Requirements:
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Electrical Engineering (or related field), with RPEQ or RPEV accreditation.
  • Significant experience in SCADA systems across renewable energy, substations, and grid infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in multi-vendor SCADA configurations, RTUs, HMIs, and relevant communication protocols.
  • Understanding of the Australian electricity industry and regulatory requirements.
  • A track record of managing risk, maintaining safety standards, and delivering quality outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills.
  • Experience with cyber security frameworks (AESCSF, ISA/IEC 62443) and SCADA integration with AEMO systems.
  • Testing, commissioning, and estimating experience.
  • Project management certification or demonstrated high-level project delivery capability.
