About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Swim Teacher to join our Learn to Swim Team at the Warringah Aquatic Centre.
As a Swim Teacher, you will be responsible for instructing swimming lessons and water safety educational programs across a range of skill levels.
The successful candidate will have the ability to plan and implement swimming lessons, facilitate the skill development of swimmers, and maintain rapport with swimmers and parents.
The role requires a high level of technological innovation and systems, as well as a culture of supporting continuous professional development.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching swimming and a commitment to delivering exceptional aquatic programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and implementing swimming lessons as per the Swim Program Curriculum
- Plan, organise, and conduct lessons
- Facilitating the skill development of swimmers with a range of skill levels
- Keeping abreast of changing rules, techniques, technologies, and philosophies relevant to swimming
- Developing and maintaining rapport with swimmers and parents of the program
- Explaining and enforcing safety rules and regulations
- Monitoring swimmers' use of equipment to ensure safe and proper use
- Ensuring that quality service is provided to all customers
