Job Title: Swim Instructor - Casual Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Swim Instructor to join our team at Canterbury Bankstown Council. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering swimming lessons to children and adults in a fun and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver swimming lessons in line with Council's Swim School Instructor Manual
  • Ensure set up and pack up of equipment is done in a timely and safe manner
  • Participate in Swim School Team Member in-house training

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate ability to swim 25m Freestyle, 25m Backstroke & 25m Breaststroke
  • Demonstrate ability to teach children in a group class environment
  • Excellent verbal communication, organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Current Working With Children Check Clearance number
  • Current Swim Teacher accreditation from Royal Life Saving, Swim Australia, AustSwim or other recognised licence provider
  • Current CPR certificate

Remuneration:

  • $35p/h + 10.5% super
  • Penalty rates earned on weekends
  • Ability to apply for higher hourly pay rate after 12 months of employment
