About the Role

At New Horizons, we are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead our finance team. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a strategic thinker who can drive business growth and improvement.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Payroll Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing payroll transactions, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. You will also manage critical incidents, promote change initiatives, and oversee financial planning, reporting, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Align with New Horizons' strategies, implementing best practices to monitor and manage company performance.
  2. Identify and recommend improvements in Payroll processes.
  3. Lead and inspire the team, fostering a positive learning and development culture.
  4. Support and coach employees for development and career progression.
  5. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, using adaptable techniques to resolve issues.
  6. Manage critical incidents and promote change initiatives.
  7. Oversee and process payroll transactions, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  8. Manage payroll-related financial planning, reporting, and compliance.
  9. Respond to employee payroll inquiries and ensure adherence to industry awards.
  10. Prepare payroll reports and support year-end audits.
  11. Ensure tax compliance and monitor internal policy adherence.
Requirements
  • 10+ years in Payroll leadership roles.
  • Knowledge of automated rostering systems.
  • Expertise in industry awards and payroll principles.
  • Understanding of employment law, awards, agreements, and policies.
  • Accounting qualifications and payroll management experience.
  • Experience with automated payroll (ADP Payforce highly preferred).
What We Offer

A competitive salary of $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits including a comprehensive package of rewards and recognition programs.
