Electrical Engineer Role

This high-impact role is designed to develop your technical capability and prepare you for future leadership positions.

You will contribute to decarbonisation projects and gain hands-on experience across major infrastructure upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-impact electrical engineering projects, including major upgrades to plant and equipment and investment in new infrastructure for alternative fuels.
  • Gain hands-on experience in all aspects of the cement-making process, including design, construction, commissioning, and integration into operations.
  • Participate in electrical engineering design, development, and implementation of large-scale variable speed drives and hazardous area installations.
  • Develop and optimise automation and control concepts, as well as analyse data and solve technical issues.
  • Collaborate with teams across multiple sites, starting in Railton (TAS) and moving to Gladstone (QLD) in the second year.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Completed or be near completion of a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering (Dual Degree) Electrical and Electronic, or Bachelor of Engineering Power.
  • A strong interest in complex infrastructure projects and hands-on problem-solving.
  • Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset.
  • Enjoyment of collaboration across disciplines and working on high-impact initiatives.
  • Eagerness to develop expertise in compliance, systems modernisation, and protection systems.
  • Proactive attitude, openness to feedback, and motivation to grow into a future leader.
