Registered Play Therapist

We are seeking a qualified Registered Play Therapist to join our team.

  • Tertiary qualifications and registration as a Mental Health Social Worker, Psychologist, or other qualification that allows for Medicare rebates
  • Membership with the relevant professional association
  • Demonstrated experience in providing therapeutic interventions to children, young people, and families
  • Strong knowledge of child development, neurodiversity (including Autism, ADHD, and PDA), play therapy, and family systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients of all ages
  • Capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Ability to organise a caseload, attract referrals, and fill your calendar
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice

Job Description: As a Registered Play Therapist, you will provide high-quality therapeutic support to children, families, and their communities. You will have the ability to build strong relationships with parents and carers, developing individualised, empathic, and connected relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop individualised treatment plans and goals
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions and workshops as required
  • Maintain case notes and client records in accordance with professional standards
  • Participate in regular supervision and professional development to ensure best practice
