In your role as a Lead Data Analyst, you will leverage our shared data asset, one of Australia's largest retail datasets. You will work closely with Wesfarmers divisions to drive tangible commercial value by understanding customers and improving engagement.

About the Position
  • You will develop business-relevant hypotheses and validate them using effective methodologies.
  • You'll identify actionable data insights and translate them into clear business recommendations.
  • Work in an agile environment delivering key insights continuously to the business and incorporating feedback to refine data analysis.
  • Enhance business enthusiasm and demand for analytics through effective communication and translation of analytical techniques into commercial concepts.
  • Support stakeholders in leveraging data insights effectively, enabling end-to-end data integration and value creation.
  • Showcase, benchmark, and quantify the value and outcomes of analytics-based decision making.
  • Convert data and insights into meaningful stories supporting business decision-making processes.
  • Provide operational support for existing analytics solutions as needed.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by enhancing stakeholder understanding of analytics techniques and their business impact.
Requirements
  • Data and analytics professional with 5+ years of experience in developing and utilizing analytics technology and working with complex data sets.
  • Track record in identifying, developing, and executing use cases that drive measurable business value.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to engage and influence business users.
  • Experience in leveraging customer attributes and data products to optimize marketing campaigns and measure uplift.
  • Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders, communicating insights effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A real interest in analytics and its application in a business context.
  • Proficiency in SQL and/or other analytics languages.
  • Experience with visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field.
