Horticulture and Landscaping Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic technician to join our team of professionals in maintaining the City's parks and open spaces.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Assisting with the establishment and maintenance of horticultural, landscaping, and turf management;
- Operating a wide range of horticultural equipment and machinery;
- Ensuring all equipment and tools are maintained in a clean, safe, and workable condition;
- Preparing and planting garden beds and landscapes; and
- Mowing, brush-cutting, and edging parks, reserves, and open spaces.
This is an excellent opportunity for those who enjoy working outdoors and have a passion for horticulture and landscaping. The role requires strong communication skills, ability to work independently, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience in current horticultural practices and equipment use;
- An understanding of safe working practices and Work Health & Safety issues;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Experience working as part of a small team; and
- Manual work experience.
A Cert II or higher in Horticulture and 'MR' Class Driver's License are desirable.
Eligibility Requirements:
- 'C' Class Driver's License;
- Construction Induction Card (White / Blue Card); and
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods.
