About the Role
The Strategic Academic Engagement Director is a key member of UNSW's Library's senior management team, leading the delivery of high-quality teaching and outreach services to support the University's educational and research goals. This role oversees staff who collaborate with Faculties and Schools to connect academics with Library resources, ensuring alignment with the University's strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement teaching services based on the Library's Digital Information Skills Framework.
- Strategically plan, manage, and evaluate high-quality library services.
- Effectively manage and lead people and teams in a changing environment.
- Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with stakeholders and engage effectively across UNSW.
- Apply relevant pedagogies and educational technologies in the higher education sector.
- Produce high-quality deliverables with attention to detail.
Requirements
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications and extensive experience at a management level within an academic library.
- Substantial experience in planning, delivering, and evaluating high-quality library services.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and lead people and teams.
- Experience in developing and maintaining collaborative partnerships.
- Sound understanding of relevant pedagogies and educational technologies.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
