About the Role

The Associate Professor (Level D) / Professor (Level E) position is a key appointment within the School of Information Systems & Technology Management (SISTM) at UNSW. This role is designed to provide academic leadership and foster excellence in research, innovative teaching, and engagement activities in the area of expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide academic leadership and strategic direction to the School, aligning with the UNSW 2025+ strategy.
  • Foster a culture of excellence in research, innovative teaching, and engagement activities, promoting equity, diversity, and social justice.
  • Develop and implement research programs, securing funding and collaborations to drive innovation and impact.
  • Design and deliver high-quality teaching programs, incorporating cutting-edge research and industry partnerships.
  • Engage with industry, government, and community stakeholders to promote the School's research and teaching activities.

Requirements

  • PhD in a relevant field, with a strong track record of research and teaching excellence.
  • Proven academic leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to drive strategic change and innovation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team, promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect.
