Job Title: Food Safety Technician

This role involves ensuring high standards in food safety and hygiene across diverse settings, with a focus on supermarket environments.

We are seeking a skilled professional to conduct quarterly cleaning audits and departmental inspections in supermarkets. You will be responsible for accurate and timely electronic service and audit reports, as well as documenting service activities, inspection findings, and corrective actions.

Your key responsibilities will include communicating food safety improvements and resolving client issues effectively. You will also be responsible for installing and maintaining hygiene and dosing equipment according to specifications and standards.

In addition, you will perform preventative maintenance and repair non-functioning equipment, support new store rollouts by providing proper training and installation sign-off, and maintain safety data sheets (SDS) to ensure compliance with safety protocols.

You will deliver formal and on-the-job training as per contractual obligations and respond to customer requests and complaints promptly. You will also be responsible for maintaining tool kits and field test kits, replacing expired or contaminated items.

Achieving 100% compliance in monthly CMX platform reporting is essential for this role. You may be required to travel regionally for installations and repairs.

About You / Qualifications:
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization abilities.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel with a valid driver's license (primarily within South Australia).
  • Experience in equipment service, repair, and installation (chemical hygiene/food industry preferred).
  • Basic technical skills and safe use of tools (e.g., drills).
  • Background in food safety, sanitation, or pest control (preferred).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office.
  • Required: Police Check, Industry White Card, Working with Children Check.
