Electrical Maintenance Technician Job DescriptionAbout the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of our site, enhancing customer satisfaction, and contributing to the growth of a dynamic team of technicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute electrical and mechanical planned preventative maintenance of automation equipment with a 60% Mechanical / 40% Electrical work split.
  • Perform daily system audits.
  • Conduct electrical and mechanical breakdown maintenance.
  • Inspect and replace hard-wired gear motors and power supplies.
  • Undertake electrical and mechanical repairs and component replacements.
  • Generate reports for both internal and external stakeholders within agreed timelines.
  • Compile monthly management reports for internal and external distribution.
  • Engage in continuous improvement activities to optimize systems collaborating closely with team members and other departments.
  • Complete breakdown reports shift logs and issue logs in accordance with internal protocols.
  • Ensure the site workshop is well-maintained presentable and clean.
  • Adhere to Australian as well as internal and external OH&S regulations.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in local interstate and overseas training and development opportunities.
  • Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
  • Previous experience maintaining on-site equipment within engineering automation or manufacturing would be highly desirable.
  • Experience with component removal and refit.
  • Experience with belts conveyors motors and gearboxes would be highly beneficial.
  • A Grade Electrical License.
  • Hold a valid driver's license.
  • Desirable: Familiarity with programmable logic controls PLCs experience with automated equipment proficiency in German language.
  • Pre-employment medical D&A and police check required for employment.
Benefits
  • Pitman Shift model only work 7 x 12 hour nights each fortnight (84 hours worked per fortnight).
  • Permanent night shift stable rostering allowing you to effectively plan ahead.
  • First 3 months of training would be on early starts late finishes not full nights. Transition to nights would occur upon completion of training.
