Person-Centred Support Worker Role

This role involves providing person-centred active support to individuals with disabilities in a home-based setting.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a caring and compassionate individual who has a strong social conscience and genuine commitment to improving the lives of people living with a disability.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support services to participants over a 7-day schedule, ensuring their needs are met and their rights are respected.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing person-centred active support to individuals with disabilities
  • Ensuring participant safety and well-being at all times
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with participants, families, and other stakeholders
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve participant goals and outcomes
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports as required
About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A Certificate III in Disability or Individual Support (or currently studying towards this qualification)
  • Experience working in the disability sector and excellent communication skills
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • NDIS New Worker Induction module and NDIS Quality, Safety and You Orientation Module Certificate (or willing to complete)
  • Proof of three COVID-19 vaccination doses (or willing to obtain)
  • A South Australian driver's licence
  • A reliable vehicle for work purposes
  • Manual Handling training (or willingness to complete prior to commencement)
