Optimising Workplace Safety: A Strategic Approach

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Safety and Wellbeing Business Partner.

The role is responsible for delivering a consistent understanding of WHS responsibilities across the organisation, ensuring a strong safety culture that prioritises employee and client safety.

  • Bring expertise in the WHS space to maintain and enhance a robust safety culture.
  • Pursue a hybrid work approach, visiting sites as needed to drive positive change.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert WHS advice and direction to leaders, driving an A-class 'safety culture' at our organisation.

Maintain a consistent understanding of WHS responsibilities throughout the organisation, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategic solutions.

Monitor and report on WHS activities and KPIs, analysing trends and developing targeted initiatives to reduce risk.

Consult with stakeholders on the safety and wellbeing strategy, fostering collaborative relationships to drive business outcomes.

Regularly monitor hazard reports, proactively addressing potential risks and preventing incidents.

Evaluate compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, ensuring our organisation remains compliant and up-to-date.

Support injury prevention efforts, working closely with teams to develop and implement effective prevention strategies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Work Health & Safety, with a strong track record of driving safety cultures.
  • Tertiary qualifications in WHS or relevant experience, with a deep understanding of ISO45001 and AS4801 management systems.
  • Expertise in incident investigations and ICAM training, with the ability to apply knowledge in real-world scenarios.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Able to plan and organise work effectively, prioritising tasks and managing competing demands.
  • Familiarity with NSW Driver's License regulations, with a focus on road safety and compliance.
