Business Development Manager

About the Role
Our business team is dynamic and customer-centric, and we're seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our VIC team. You'll work closely with our South-east customer community and Melbourne's western suburbs, building long-term relationships with medium and large-sized business customers.
You'll support customers on the road, engaging in insightful conversations to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions. Your drive will be instrumental in identifying, acquiring, and onboarding new business customers, fostering profitable and mutually beneficial relationships.
The role is crucial in the growth of Officeworks' B2B offer, and it's an exciting time to join our Business team as they continue to expand.
Key Responsibilities
- Build relationships with stakeholders, including C-suite leaders, and present tailored customer solutions that enhance their businesses.
- Seek new business account opportunities and leads within a portfolio of medium to large customers in your designated community.
- Identify growth opportunities and execute those opportunities.
- Set account plans within individual portfolios through high-level account planning, base coverage, and insightful customer conversations.
- Collaborate with the wider Business Specialists team to generate leads and build your personal brand within the community of customers.
About You
You're a self-motivated, client-centric professional with a proven track record in field sales and/or business development in a B2B environment. You have a minimum of 2 years' experience and can demonstrate:
- Ability to build long-term, profitable relationships with business customers.
- A strong understanding of identifying and meeting customer needs, while maximising customer satisfaction.
- In-field sales experience, identifying and acquiring new business opportunities and providing exceptional customer experiences.
- Strong commercial acumen, with an analytical and inquisitive mind working with multiple levels of stakeholders.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Experience using Salesforce.
