About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our collaborative and high-performing team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with potential for permanent employment.

The successful candidate will have prior experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable functions. Relevant tertiary qualifications and proficiency in MS Excel are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the daily accounting functions, including bank reconciliations, month-end activities, and statutory reporting.
  • Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Reconcile supplier and customer accounts.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role with strong knowledge of accounts payable and receivable functions.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, degree-qualified in Accounting or equivalent.
  • Proficient working knowledge of MS Excel is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of QAD or similar ERP is highly desired.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong ability to communicate with senior stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail with strong time management skills.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of $75,000 - $80,000 per annum, plus superannuation.
