This is an outstanding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families. Our pre-employment program, Parent Pathways Program, empowers parents and guardians of young children to build skills, confidence, and prepare for the workforce.

As a full-time ongoing role based across our Fitzroy and Flemington sites, you will have the privilege of working with eligible parents to address their vocational and non-vocational needs.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver person-centred case management to ensure positive outcomes for parents and their young children.
  • Support parents' aspirations through tailored guidance and referrals to internal and external services.
  • Engage with community organizations to develop opportunities that benefit families.
  • Conduct case work with empathy, trauma awareness, and a calm, respectful, welcoming, and child-friendly approach.
  • Develop strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including employers, education, and community service providers.
  • Maintain accurate records, including resumes, cover letters, assessments, referrals, and case notes.

Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively with diverse parents, employers, education, and community service providers.
  • Strong writing skills for resume building, cover letter writing, assessment development, referrals, and case note documentation.
  • Good labour market knowledge.
  • A minimum Certificate III in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work, Community Services, Education, Early Childhood, Health, Society and Culture) or Certificate IV in Employment Services or Career Development, or demonstrated equivalent experience.
