The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electrical Graduate Engineer to join our team at PFD Food Services. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for conducting regular maintenance and repairs across a wide range of electrical and refrigerated machines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on electrical and refrigerated machines
  • Oversee repairs and manage preventative maintenance schedules/programs across plant and equipment
  • Support the site management team by facilitating capital works and major projects
  • Ensure standard contract management processes are implemented and complied with
  • Assist with the implementation of initiatives to improve site safety, including conducting risk assessments
  • Coordinate safety audits and assist in the implementation of corrective actions where necessary

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering
  • Hands-on passion and experience with tools and equipment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to ensure staff understand and operate to the required Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, OH&S regulations and cold storage principles
  • Proficiency in using hazard and incident reporting systems
  • Availability to work on call after hours
