About the Role

Gold Coast Private Hospital is seeking a skilled Orderly to support our Day Surgery Unit on a casual basis.

This role involves working on a rotational roster Monday to Friday, with shift times starting at 6am to 7pm available. As an Orderly, you will work collaboratively with our team to ensure our patients receive exceptional care and have a positive experience during their stay in our DSU.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Providing patient assistance and transfers throughout the DSU
  2. Performing general housekeeping duties, including cleaning beds, organizing linen, restocking equipment, and waste management
  3. Ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff
  4. Delivering excellent customer service to staff, clients, and patients
  5. Working effectively as part of a team to support all work tasks
  6. Operating in line with WHS policy and procedures
  7. Providing a high level of attention to detail and commitment to service excellence
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  9. Ability to prioritize and organize work with minimal supervision
  10. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  11. Vaccination and serology records prior to commencement
  12. Working with Children check

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will also need to be able to prioritize and organize work with minimal supervision, and operate in line with WHS policy and procedures.
