Position Overview
SeaLink Marine & Tourism is excited to announce an opening for a Permanent Part-Time Housekeeping Attendant at the picturesque Kingfisher Bay Resort, located on the stunning Fraser Island. This role is designed for individuals who prefer to live off the island, with commuting options available from Hervey Bay. Our resort prides itself on providing a unique and eco-friendly environment for both guests and staff, making it an ideal workplace for those who appreciate natural beauty and exceptional service.
As a Housekeeping Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of our guest accommodations. This position offers a consistent part-time schedule of up to 76 hours per fortnight, with competitive pay at $29.39 per hour. You will be part of a flexible 7-day roster, typically working 4 to 5 days each week.
Please be aware that commuting via the barge from River Heads is necessary for scheduled shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive cleaning duties in guest rooms, including making beds, sanitizing bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, and restocking amenities.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in all resort areas, including public spaces, hallways, and communal areas.
- Follow strict safety and hygiene protocols to ensure a clean and secure environment for guests and staff.
- Manage lost and found items in accordance with resort policies.
- Assist guests with inquiries and requests in a courteous and helpful manner.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient room turnovers and cleanliness of public spaces.
- Report maintenance issues and damages promptly for resolution.
- Adhere to established waste disposal procedures.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in housekeeping within a hotel or resort setting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Physical stamina to lift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment, and to work in warm weather conditions.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as required.
- A dedication to upholding high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
