Job Opportunity: Medical Office Coordinator

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented professional to join our specialist practice on a part-time basis.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to multitask, and provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients in a warm and friendly manner
  • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to queries
  • Making patient appointments and maintaining accurate electronic records
  • Liaising with hospitals, anaesthetists, and assisting surgeons for surgery bookings
  • Preparing paperwork for patients including estimates
  • Invoicing daily consultations accurately and sending to relevant authorities
Requirements:
  • 2 years medical experience (Specialist practice preferred)
  • Knowledge of Medicare, DVA, Workcover and Private Health Fund Billing
  • Previous experience in medical software systems (training available if not held)
  • Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Exceptional level of customer service
  • Keen attention to detail
Working Arrangements:

We are looking for a permanent part-time candidate to work 6 days a fortnight, approximately 37 hours per week. Occasional extra coverage may be required during staff leave or busy times.

Remuneration will be based on previous experience and qualifications in line with the relevant award.
