The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our Cochlear Care Centre in Geelong. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for coordinating office operations, managing patient interactions, and ensuring the smooth delivery of clinical services.

Responsibilities:

Medical Reception

  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, ensuring a positive experience from initial contact to post-treatment follow-up.
  • Manage phone and email inquiries, scheduling appointments, and coordinating patient flow to minimize wait times.

Invoicing and Billing

  • Process payments for services and parts, ensuring accurate and timely billing and reconciliation.
  • Maintain stock levels of spare parts and equipment, ensuring availability for patients and audiologists.
  • Collaborate with audiologists to resolve device-related issues, providing troubleshooting assistance and support.
  • Provide education and support to patients on optimal use of their hearing devices, ensuring they achieve the best possible outcomes.

Education and Support

  • Develop and deliver educational programs to enhance patient awareness and use of technology solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest device and technology advancements, ensuring you can provide expert guidance and support to patients.

Administrative Support

  • Provide general administrative support to the Geelong Centre team, including data entry, filing, and other tasks as required.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Previous experience in a Medical Receptionist or similar role, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, audiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with practice management software and medical billing systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
