Job Role and Responsibilities

The Pre-Sales Senior Technical Consultant will partner with the Pre-Sales team to assist the Sales team on new and existing client engagements. This role will involve leading the alignment of Aptitude Software's product capabilities with client requirements by demonstrating financial and business solutions that satisfy client needs.

The successful candidate will lead in product configuration, support the delivery of demonstrations of Aptitude Software products and solutions to clients, and proactively assist with the delivery of client workshops. They will also identify and report opportunities and risks to senior colleagues to ensure we are always ahead.

Where you'll be: Sydney, with some regional and domestic travel required.

Requirements and Skills

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • A degree in a related subject (e.g. Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business)
  • Demonstrate a broad understanding of software development principles, data platforms, software design concepts, and the ability to learn new skills quickly
  • Expected to have coding skills including Python
  • Capacity to approach and deconstruct challenging problems with a solution-oriented mindset
  • An understanding of accounting principles would be beneficial but not required
  • Excellent communication skills (written, oral, and presentation) in English, with the ability to communicate in a concise and timely manner with internal and external stakeholders
  • An ability to understand clients' objectives, identify their challenges, and translate these into logical and actionable requirements
  • Ability to create and design propositions that provide practical solutions, demonstrating best practice based on Aptitude's products and capabilities
  • A commercial mindset with the ability to support RFP and RFI processes
  • A self-starter with a passion for delivering tangible results, equipped with robust time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively and meet project deadlines
  • Demonstrates a commitment to continuous personal and professional development, essential for staying relevant in a rapidly evolving industry
