We are currently seeking a Carer - Elderly Support Specialist to join our team at HammondCare Horsley. This is a permanent part-time position, with shifts including mornings, afternoons, and nights.

As a Carer - Elderly Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents with dementia. Your duties will include:

  • Assisting with personal care such as showering, grooming, toileting, and dressing
  • Providing domestic assistance with cooking, cleaning, and laundry
  • Engaging with residents to ensure their involvement in activities they wish to participate in
  • Recognizing and responding appropriately to changes in the conditions of residents within your skills and competencies

You will work closely with experienced Registered Nurses and Managers on site to ensure the highest level of care for our residents.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A genuine passion for serving elderly people and making a difference in their lives
  • Flexibility and ability to commit to a range of shifts, including nights and weekends
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and show initiative
  • Knowledge and experience of people living with dementia and their needs
  • Preference may be given to applicants with Cert III or IV in Aged Care

Hiring managers will also consider applicants who can provide evidence of their commitment to delivering high-quality care.
