Workplace Health and Safety Professional

The Workplace Health and Safety Professional plays a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of employees within an organization. This position involves:

  • Assisting management and staff with workplace rehabilitation, case management, and employee assistance services.
  • Investigating statutory and common law claims to provide timely support to affected employees.
  • Providing regular incident and injury trend analysis and performance reports to local management.
  • Supporting management in investigating critical incidents and injuries to promote a culture of safety.
  • Conducting annual safety inspections, ongoing monitoring, and reviewing workplaces and work practices to identify high-risk activities or issues.
  • Establishing and maintaining consultation and advisory groups to ensure proactive monitoring and addressing of health and safety matters.
  • Assisting in needs analysis, planning, and scheduling for education and awareness sessions at the workplace.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety (BSB41419) is highly regarded.
  • An Australian 'C' class driver's license is required.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance is necessary.
