About the Role

Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd is seeking highly motivated and experienced Diesel Fitters to join their Newmont, Tanami Site Support team in 12 month fixed-term FIFO positions, working on a new growing fleet of underground machines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Warranty repair & maintenance of CAT & Elphinstone machinery in a safe, efficient & professional manner.
  • Diagnostic troubleshooting assessments of reported faults.
  • Quality condition/failure reporting.
  • Complete warranty processes and reporting.
  • Assist customer in maximizing machine production and efficiency.
  • Provide customer support and demonstrate product knowledge.

About You:

You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:

  • Trade Qualification – Certificate III Engineering (Diesel Fitting) is essential.
  • Previous experience on CAT machinery & CAT diagnostic systems will be desirable.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Well-developed communication and customer service skills.
  • The ability to work within a team and unsupervised.
  • Committed to a No Harm Environment.
  • A continuous Improvement commitment and positive attitude.
  • A proficient & motivated work ethic.
