About the Role

Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd is seeking a skilled Diesel Fitter to join our Workshop team in Alice Springs. As a Diesel Fitter, you will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and servicing key CAT machinery, as well as performing diagnostic assessments on mining and general construction equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain CAT machinery to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Perform diagnostic assessments on mining and general construction equipment to identify and resolve issues
  • Plan, organize, and schedule field service requirements to meet customer needs
  • Display fairness, build trust, and maintain respectful relationships through open lines of communication

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Relevant trade qualifications and demonstrated service and repair experience on heavy machinery
  • Experience on Caterpillar Diagnostic Systems or similar
  • Proven ability to maintain a high level of workplace health and safety
  • A customer-driven focus and commitment to continuous improvement
  • Excellent time management skills and a strong commitment to quality control
