Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Youth Care Specialist to join our team at Lifestyle Solutions. As a key member of our care team, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored therapeutic interventions for children and young people in out-of-home care.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting the daily care needs of children and young people, including personal hygiene, health and well-being, medical, transportation, recreational and educational support needs.

  • Care Provision: You will provide day-to-day care, nurturing, and safety to children and young people in our Out of Home Care Programme.
  • Documentation: Accurate documentation of events and developments related to the provision of care is essential.
  • NDIS Plans: Ensure that children and young people's NDIS plans are accessible while in our care.
  • Trauma-Informed Practices: Utilise trauma-informed practices and supports in day-to-day care provision.
  • Crisis Intervention: Provide positive behaviour support, therapeutic interventions, and safety during events of escalation and crisis.
  • Social Engagement: Encourage opportunities for social engagement, recreation, and community involvement.

In addition, the successful candidate will collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualised support plans and advocate for the rights and needs of the children and young people.
