Job Summary

We are seeking a Agricultural Practice Specialist to provide a central point of contact for farmers, landholders, industry, and community groups to support the adoption of sustainable, climate-smart agriculture practices.

This role offers significant investment in professional development and training, including attendance at annual conferences for networking and knowledge growth.

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to promote sustainable agricultural practices.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and understanding of agricultural production and natural resource management in the South Coast region of WA, with project management experience, proven interpersonal skills, facilitation skills, and high-level time management skills.

You will be responsible for providing guidance and support to farmers and landholders on best management practices, as well as identifying opportunities for collaborative projects and initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive knowledge of agricultural production and natural resource management in the South Coast region of WA
  • Project management experience with a proven track record of delivering results
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Facilitation skills, with the ability to lead workshops and training sessions
  • High-level time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary of $80,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience.

In addition to your salary, you will receive a generous professional development budget, which can be used to attend conferences, workshops, and training sessions.

We also offer a flexible working arrangement, with the option to work from home one day per week.

Location

This role is based in Albany, WA, with a 0.8 FTE requirement.
