About us
We provide palliative care in the south east metropolitan region of Melbourne, supporting people with a life-limiting illness to live well and providing support at home to improve their quality of life. Our services are provided free of charge to people of all ages in the Local Government areas of Cardinia, Casey, Greater Dandenong, and part of Kingston.
The RoleAs a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our community presence and reputation. You will be responsible for coordinating, evaluating, and improving our volunteer program, building strong relationships and partnerships within the community to ensure seamless access to our services for clients and their carers.
You will also be instrumental in elevating our profile through community fundraising and events, project managing the development of organisational fundraising strategies and delivering on goals. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build enduring partnerships that align with our strategic directions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage a program of events and operations
- Develop and implement programs, reviewing and evaluating their effectiveness
- Recruit and select volunteers, assessing their performance and providing constructive feedback and development opportunities
- BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH STAKEHOLDERS, INCLUDING CLIENTS, CARERS/FAMILIES, AND EXTERNAL AGENCIES AND BUSINESSES
- Develop and foster collaborative working arrangements with relevant services and organisations to support our clients and their carers and staff
- Manage projects and work with external providers to coordinate community-based fundraising activities and logistics, event coordination, and delivery
- Use digital and social media platforms to drive the success of community fundraising initiatives and communication consistency, marketing, and planning
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders about death and dying, wellness, and the complexities of working in the field
