POSITION: Finance Accountant

This role is essential for assisting in the preparation of forecasts, management information system (MIS) statements, overseeing office costing, and conducting various analyses as needed. Responsibilities include managing inter-company accounting, fixed assets, and bank and cash data entry as required.

  • Develop quarterly, semi-annual, annual, and triennial forecasts based on approved management assumptions regarding existing and anticipated contracts.
  • Compile monthly MIS reports that encompass financial summaries, project overviews, overhead analyses, bank facilities, and cash flow assessments.
  • Generate comprehensive reports detailing costs incurred by branches on a monthly basis.
  • Conduct additional analyses as necessary, including overhead and turnover evaluations.
  • Fulfill all inter-company accounting obligations, including issuing monthly debit notes to various group entities for expenses incurred by Petrofac, and manage accounting for all invoices received from different group companies as sanctioned by the respective project managers.
  • Collaborate with group accountants to reconcile inter-company balances at month-end, ensuring regular resolution of disputes and follow-up on inter-company payments while generating periodic reports.
  • Maintain the fixed assets register, including monthly depreciation calculations for all asset categories, and ensure timely approval and posting of required journals by the Finance Business Partner/Finance Director.
  • Safeguard all bank advices, statements, and fixed deposit confirmations in a secure and confidential manner.
  • Execute all site data entry and reconciliation tasks.
  • Handle payroll-related functions in the absence of the payroll accountant, including issuing salary certificates, processing salary and HR advances, calculating deductions and reimbursements, verifying payroll, preparing salary transfer letters, and addressing employee payroll inquiries.
  • Undertake any additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in account management within a large organization.
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) qualification or progress towards completion of studies.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Proficient in financial interpretation and analysis, with strong skills in MS Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Highly independent, with a sense of urgency, responsibility, and results-oriented mindset.
  • Positive attitude and capability to work effectively under pressure.
