Role Overview

This is a unique opportunity to kickstart your environmental career on a prestigious $2.2 billion iron ore project in Perth, working closely with a dedicated team.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Advisor to join our Major Mining Projects team as a Mining Sustainability Consultant. You will be responsible for enhancing the reputation of our team and collaborating with talented professionals on iconic projects to drive future-ready outcomes that benefit clients and communities.

The role involves operating on a 2:1 roster from Perth, where you will be part of a major iron ore construction project early in the execution phase. Our global team of over 5,200 mining professionals supports the industry's decarbonization efforts in the green transition.

You will work collaboratively across borders and disciplines to join a leading team working on interesting and complex projects. We are experts in our field and passionate about mining.

Key Responsibilities
  • Development and management of site environmental plans in accordance with legislation and company standards.
  • Monitoring, data collection, QA/QC, data analysis, and reporting, including database management and GIS.
  • Providing general environmental advice and support for site-based construction and operations staff.
  • Managing, collating, and providing environmental data, non-compliance information or other issues for regulatory notifications.
  • Conducting site audits and reporting the outcomes and recommendations to the Construction & Project Managers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of experience in an environmental role in the mining industry.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven capability in the analysis and presentation of environmental data.
