Role Overview

The Achieve Group is seeking a skilled Communications Specialist to support the Stakeholder Management Business Unit. This role is vital for providing communications advice and support to regional staff, focusing on researching and drafting responses to ministerial and executive correspondence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communications Advice and Support: Provide timely and accurate communications advice and support to regional staff.
  • Communications Materials: Coordinate, research, draft, and edit communications materials, including ministerial and executive correspondence, briefing notes, media statements, responses to media inquiries, and parliamentary business.
  • Community Engagement: Facilitate community engagement and stakeholder consultations during project development.
  • Regional Webpage Maintenance: Maintain and update regional webpages to ensure relevance.
  • Training and Support: Offer training and support to enhance communication skills among regional staff and consultants.

About You:

  • Education: Degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or marketing (preferred).
  • Experience: Proven background in stakeholder management and communication roles, with exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, strong research and drafting skills, and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Skills: Familiarity with community engagement practices and media relations, IAP2 certification in Engagement (a plus), excellent time management, and ability to handle multiple priorities.
