About the Role
This role involves working as a Sales Coordinator within our sales team. The successful candidate will report to the Sales Manager and work to deliver exceptional customer service to clients and key stakeholders.
The primary responsibilities include managing customer accounts, providing product selection support, preparing quotes, processing orders, and keeping customers updated throughout the dispatch process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing customer accounts, including all calls, emails, and enquiries
- Assisting customers with technical product selection by interpreting catalogues, data sheets, and product information
- Maintaining relationships with existing customers and developing new relationships where appropriate
- Preparing and submitting quotes, with timely follow-up to convert opportunities into orders
- Generating sales orders, purchase orders, invoices, and shipping documentation, and keeping customers informed on ETAs and dispatch
- Assisting with stock ordering, including expediting backorders where required
- Building relationships with existing accounts and prospecting new business opportunities where appropriate
Skill Requirements:
- Previous experience in internal sales or technical customer service
- Quoting experience, including preparing simple sales proposals and following through to invoicing
- Parts interpretation in hydraulics or a similar industry, with the ability to translate technical needs into practical solutions
- Confident reading catalogues and data sheets; able to provide sizing/selection support for hydraulic components
- Accurate order processing and documentation; comfortable using shared job trackers, spreadsheets, and inventory/ERP systems
- Solid knowledge of hydraulics and the ability to translate technical needs into practical solutions
- Strong time management and organisational skills; able to juggle multiple enquiries
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficient PC skills (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
