Environmental Consultant Wanted
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Environmental Consultant to support our contaminated site management consulting projects in Perth. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in managing contaminated sites and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough environmental assessments and remediation programs, including soil, soil gas/vapour, and groundwater collection.
- Assist with statutory and non-statutory site audits to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop comprehensive environmental reports that meet client expectations.
- Supervise fieldwork programs, collaborating with subcontractors and personnel to ensure seamless execution.
- Support project managers in planning and delivering field programs, as well as budget/task management.
- Collaborate with a dynamic team of consultants working on contaminated site management, primarily in Western Australia, with opportunities to work on interstate projects.
- Engage with our global Site Investigation & Risk Assessment Technical Community to share best practices and stay up-to-date on industry developments.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in geology, hydrogeology, environmental science, civil engineering, soil science, or a related science subject degree.
- Previous consulting experience is highly desirable, but not essential.
- Hands-on experience collecting data in the field, including soil, water, soil vapour, and other relevant samples.
- A strong appreciation and understanding of health & safety requirements on complex work sites.
- Ability to work in remote areas for extended periods, if necessary.
- Proven report writing skills and ability to provide completed tasks and inputs into project elements and proposals.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships with clients, project teams, disciplines, and business units.
- Understanding of our focus sectors, products, and services.
- Authorization to work full-time in Australia.
- A valid Full Drivers License issued by an Australian state or territory.
