Job Title: Senior Environmental Scientist, Contaminated Land
">About the Role:
">- We are seeking an experienced and motivated environmental scientist to join our contaminated land team in Western Australia.
- This role requires a strong understanding of environmental management challenges and the ability to deliver strategic and practical solutions to clients.
Your Responsibilities:
">- You will be responsible for delivering preliminary and detailed contaminated land assessments, preparing site management plans, remediation action plans and other reports for external and internal clients.
- As part of this role, you will also lead and supervise investigations, including soil, vapour, surface water, groundwater assessments and drilling programs.
- An additional responsibility is to prepare cost-effective, tailored fee proposals and initiate, plan, lead and execute contaminated land and groundwater projects from start to finish.
- Engaging with clients and internal disciplinary teams to determine innovative and pragmatic solutions to complex environmental problems is another key aspect of the job.
- You will need to analyse data and prepare clear and concise technical reports to a high standard, as well as support the learning and progression of junior staff within the team.
Requirements:
">- A tertiary qualification in Environmental Science/Engineering, Hydrogeology or Geology is required.
- At least 5 years experience in contaminated land projects, preferably with hydrogeology experience.
- You should have demonstrated experience in site supervision, managing complex site investigations and various sampling methods, including soil and groundwater.
- A strong knowledge of NEPM and contaminated land provisions within WA is essential.
- Strong communication and report writing skills are necessary, as is strong business acumen to manage projects commercially.
- A valid driver's license and ability to travel to sites for field work is required.
