About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Governance Team Leader to join our team at the Cancer Institute NSW. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in overseeing and coordinating our Data and Research Governance Frameworks to facilitate effective cancer-related research and timely access to data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a high-performing team promoting access and use of data for research
  • Develop and implement data governance frameworks to ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address data governance challenges and opportunities
  • Provide expert advice on data governance and research ethics to support cancer control in NSW
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
  • Substantial experience in leading and managing in a research and/or data governance team in a health context
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in applying relevant legislation, standards, codes and guidelines to data and research governance
  • Experience in management or coordination of large data linkage projects
