Data Governance Leader

At Firesoft People, we're seeking a seasoned professional to lead our data governance efforts. As the Data Governance Leader, you'll play a critical role in shaping our data governance strategy and ensuring the integrity of our data assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework that aligns with our business objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish data governance standards and best practices
  • Facilitate master data management workshops and maintain the Enterprise Business Data Model (EBDM)
  • Support the Information, Technology, and Security Risk Committee (ITSRC) objectives
  • Coordinate the process for proposing and ratifying authority and data ownership
  • Maintain enterprise compliance with Australian Prudential Regulation CPG235 Managing Data Risk (September 2013)
  • Build a data analyst community to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and cross-functional support on analytics initiatives
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a governance role, with 2 years in financial services
  • Understanding of data governance and quality program implementation challenges and benefits
  • Experience working with APRA banking or financial standards
  • Knowledge of data repository systems (DWH and operational systems)
  • Proven management/supervisory experience leading a team of 3-5 people
