Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Risk Assurance leader to drive the design and delivery of a forward-thinking assurance strategy that supports the continued uplift of risk and compliance performance across our organization.

This is a career-defining opportunity for a people-focused, strategic Risk Assurance or Audit leader to take on a newly created role and build our Line 2 Risk Assurance function.

You will have the autonomy to create a new line of business and lead a team of Senior Risk Assurance Specialists in building capability and ensuring quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing and embedding a consolidated Line 2 assurance framework, methodologies, and processes across all material risk classes.
  • Developing and executing a comprehensive, risk-based annual Line 2 Assurance Plan.
  • Leading and coaching a team of Senior Risk Assurance Specialists to build capability and ensure quality outcomes.
  • Engaging with senior stakeholders to communicate progress, themes, and insights from assurance activity.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require significant experience in internal audit or risk assurance, including experience in a senior leadership role within the financial services industry.

You will also need strong technical knowledge in risk profiling, control effectiveness, and assurance methodologies, as well as proven ability to communicate complex issues to non-technical stakeholders, influence at executive level, and drive engagement.

A collaborative and commercial mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills is essential, as is a commitment to continuous learning, team development, and innovation in assurance practice.
