Aboriginal Cultural Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Aboriginal Cultural Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing culturally enriching support plans for Aboriginal children and young people in Out of Home Care.
The successful candidate will have experience working in child protection and with children in out of home care, as well as demonstrated ability to work with individuals, families, and communities from a strength-based, culturally appropriate perspective.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver culturally sensitive support plans that meet the unique needs of each individual.
- Foster strong relationships with relevant stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of support plans.
- Maintain open channels of communication to promptly address and report any potential risks associated with plan implementation.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Science, Community Development, Social Work, or related discipline.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with Aboriginal communities.
- Effective time management skills and ability to deliver high-quality results amidst competing priorities.
- Familiarity with relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks within your area of responsibility.
