Senior Kitchen Assistant

Seeking a skilled culinary professional to assist the chef in charge and ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and presentation, as well as a commitment to delivering high-quality cuisine with attention to detail.
- Assist the chef in managing the kitchen team and overseeing the preparation and presentation of dishes.
- Ensure consistency in food production and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
- Contribute to menu planning and development, ensuring that dishes are creative and appealing to customers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and other departments to achieve business objectives.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply knowledge to improve kitchen operations and menus.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year's experience working as a Demi Chef in a hotel or restaurant environment.
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices, including knife skills and safe cooking techniques.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a close-knit team.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
