Environmental Management Lead

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Management Lead to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring environmental requirements are embedded into the planning, construction and operation of projects across Queensland.

  • You will lead a cross-disciplinary team responsible for integrating approval conditions into project contracts and ensuring contractors deliver works in line with environmental obligations.
  • Oversee assurance, compliance monitoring and investigations throughout project delivery, supporting effective outcomes across major and other projects.
  • Collaborate with the Approvals team to ensure a smooth transition of approvals into delivery phase and across the project lifecycle.
  • Establish and refine environmental processes and systems to support delivery teams, while continuously improving existing practices.
  • Engage with contractors, regulators and internal stakeholders to ensure environmental performance expectations are clearly understood and achieved.

Required skills and qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Degree-level qualifications in environmental science or equivalent, with significant experience in embedding environmental management into construction and operations.
