The Autism Association of WA is a leading For-Purpose Specialist Autism Service Provider, dedicated to making a difference in the lives of individuals with Autism.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Coordinator to join our Community Living Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring we meet the highest standard of care for individuals with Autism.
About the Role:
This permanent full-time position involves working alongside a team of Coordinators to create a truly good life for the people we support. You will lead a team of Support Workers, engage with families, community stakeholders, and work closely with the people we support.
As a Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing staff to ensure they deliver on the highest quality of care and enjoyable life experiences for the individuals we support. You will also lead staff to demonstrate care and consideration in all their undertakings and ensure families are actively engaged.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will have a strong commitment to an inclusive community where the worth and dignity of each individual is valued. You will show this commitment in your leadership of staff and the expectations you establish for the quality of life of the individuals we support.
You will be a strong advocate for the rights of individuals with disability to lead the life they choose. To achieve this, you will work with passion and commitment to overcome barriers and create opportunities for individuals to have a good life.
Essential Requirements:
- Certificate, Diploma or Degree in the Human Services field.
- Extensive practical experience in the field of Human Services, demonstrating a deep understanding of client needs and a proven track record of effective service delivery.
- Experience in leading teams and managing people, overseeing day-to-day operations and client care standards.
- Proficient in communicating effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Experienced in engaging with and managing relationships with clients, families, and other stakeholders, ensuring collaborative partnerships and effective service coordination.
- Prior hands-on experience in implementing personalised support plans for individuals with disabilities, emphasising creativity, flexibility, and a person-centred approach to enhance quality of life and independence.
- Possess a valid and unrestricted driver's licence (No P Plates).
