Job Overview

The Senior Estimator plays a pivotal role in the successful delivery of complex civil construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project estimates
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to meet project goals
  • Prepare and submit tenders that align with project requirements
  • Evaluate and optimize tender processes for cost-effectiveness
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with clients and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure seamless project handovers
  • Establish and manage budgets based on tender submissions
  • Assess and price contract variations orders
  • Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 5-10 years of management experience on civil construction projects with values between $5m to $20m+
  • Proven expertise in construction with a hands-on approach
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and commercial acumen
  • Highly organized and effective time management skills
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills

This position involves working on a variety of projects including demolition, excavation, retention, piling, foundations, ground improvement, and site remediation. Project values range from $2.5 to $40m+.
