Defence professionals focus on commercial, project management and corporate finance advisory business supporting the Department of Defence in responding to key challenges facing Australia.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with senior professionals on complex policy, strategy and transaction matters.
- Work across teams on procurement and commercial advice projects, from acquiring new capabilities to sustaining existing ones through their lifecycle and upgrading them to meet Defence's needs.
- Advise Defence on commercial, financial and contractual aspects of capability acquisition, and how to utilise private capital effectively.
- Balance service delivery methods between embedded roles at the client site and virtual teams working collaboratively on transactions.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen with a minimum 4+ years' experience in commercial advisory and/or project management.
- Australian citizenship with the ability to obtain an Australian Government security clearance.
- Prior experience in complex procurement and/or corporate finance, preferably in industries such as Utilities, Resources, Infrastructure or Transport, with a strong interest in growing Defence domain expertise.
- Ability to operate effectively within integrated teams.
As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in commercial and project management while making a meaningful contribution to the Department of Defence's mission.
