About the Role

The Service Leader is responsible for delivering excellence in quality care provision on a day-to-day basis.

Focusing on the integration and coordination of care for clients, the role involves facilitating and monitoring these processes to ensure high standards of client care.

Operational management includes tasks such as disciplinary measures, recruitment, personal career development, statutory and mandatory training, and delegating appropriately.

This role also requires providing high-level service input and advice to stakeholders, ensuring adherence to high standards at all times.

Maintenance of systems and processes used in Client Services is another key aspect of this position.

There may be an on-call component to this role, with weekend and shift work possible when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • To work closely with the Service Manager in providing leadership, practice development, and mentoring sessions to support workers.
  • Facilitate and monitor the integration and coordination of care for clients, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Manage the operational aspects of a team of Residential Support Workers, including disciplinary actions, recruitment, training, and delegation.
  • Provide high-level service input and advice to staff and other stakeholders, maintaining high standards at all times.
  • Monitor and review systems and processes used in Client Services to ensure they are effective and efficient.
Requirements
  • A degree or Diploma qualification in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of one year's experience leading a team or as a Senior Support Worker, demonstrating expertise in mentoring and coaching other support workers.
  • Ability to consult and engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experience working within a residential recovery and resilience-based model.
  • Skill and experience in youth mental health and NDIS services.
  • Demonstrated capacity to relate to clients and other stakeholders with dignity and respect.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and deal sensitively with distressed individuals.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and willingness to participate in training as required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer usage.
  • A current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
